Virginia Department of Corrections is committed to equipping justice-impacted individuals with the skills, training, and resources necessary for a successful transition into the workforce post-release. Through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, resume writing workshops, soft skills training, and practice interviews, we help individuals gain confidence and preparedness for employment. We actively engage employers to create hiring opportunities, host job fairs, and organize community resource events, ensuring that returning citizens have access to essential job search and employment support. By fostering meaningful connections between individuals and the workforce, we help build stronger communities and reduce recidivism through sustainable employment.
